F1 | Renault, Hulkenberg: “Pretty solid qualifying”

Qualifying below expectations for Nico Hulkenberg and Jolyon Palmer on the Albert Park track. Despite yesterday's good performances, in fact, the German was unable to gain access to Q3, ending his qualifying in twelfth position, approximately three seconds behind the lead occupied by Lewis Hamilton. Things went worse for his teammate, Jolyon Palmer, twentieth and bringing up the rear of the entire starting grid. The Englishman completed very few laps during Q1, a sign that something didn't go right in his Renault Sport RS17.

Here are the words of Nico Hulkenberg: “It was a pretty solid first qualifying. Unfortunately we weren't able to gain access to Q3 due to a few too many problems during the second session. The balance wasn't completely satisfying and the grip wasn't great. It's difficult to expect anything from tomorrow, especially because we have no idea of ​​the values ​​at stake. We're all pretty close. We hope to close a good race in the points."
