F1 | Renault, Hulkenberg: “Tomorrow won't be easy”

The French team concluded the Suzuka qualifying session with the twelfth time Nico Hulkenberg; Jolyon Palmer he got the fourteenth time but due to the penalty, he will start from the back.

Hulkenberg he had problems with the balance of the car but for tomorrow he hopes to be able to recover up to the points zone:

“We struggled, we didn't have balance, especially with the understeer in the first sector. Generally you improve in qualifying but this time it didn't go that way, the top 10 slipped through our fingers. Tomorrow won't be easy because the group will be very competitive. It's not the qualifying we wanted, there will be hard work to do to improve tomorrow. The package is good and if we start well, we can get some points.".

With a post on Instagram, Palmer confirmed that this will be his last grand prix with Renault but he remains focused on tomorrow's race:

“Qualifying isn't bad but overall the pace is a bit disappointing for the team. The first run of Q2 went quite well but in the second the car slipped a bit and we weren't able to improve. It's a shame that we have to start from the back but I think we have a better pace than those in front of us and so it can be a fun race.".
