F1 | Renault, Hulkenberg: “Sorry about the accident, I gave the team some work to do”

Difficult day for Renault, which with Hulkenberg was forced to miss practically the entire second session following the German's accident while exiting Juncao. It went better for Sainz, but the Spanish driver is still not entirely satisfied with what he did in these first two free practice sessions.

“Today didn't go well, and the accident in FP2 certainly didn't help – said a dejected Hulkenberg. I went wide and over the curb, hitting the bottom a lot. I couldn't avoid the barriers, which was a shame and I gave the team some work to do. Carlos on the other hand was able to have a productive day, so we will look at his data and hope to do well tomorrow."

“It didn't go as I hoped – Sainz said: we have some work to do to find a better balance, as it is a difficult track to make the car work as you want in every corner. However, it's a great circuit to drive at and we already have an idea of ​​the areas we need to improve for tomorrow."
