The French driver classified in tenth position during FP1
Esteban Ocon's second adventure in Formula 1 continues, now in its third round. The French driver classified tenth during the first free practice session, while in the afternoon, due to the rain, Ocon carried out only one installation lap on intermediate tyres. Renault is thus saving a wet tire compound for both drivers, which will probably be indispensable over the course of the weekend.
"The first free practice session went well, we completed our program without any problems – declared Esteban – the car is behaving quite well, but obviously it's still Friday and there are details we can improve. The car was fast, but it's tomorrow that counts. Ours is a good starting point, I'm comfortable in the car both in the dry and in the wet, we'll see how the conditions are tomorrow and Sunday".
