F1 | Are Renault and Williams skipping filming day sessions before the start of testing?

Williams and Renault may abandon the idea of running a filming day session before the official start of pre-season testing in Spain. According to what was declared by the Polish newspaper Sport.pl, in fact, both teams are significantly behind in assembling the new car, an aspect that could significantly slow down the work program scheduled for the next few days.

Renault, we remember, revealed the design of the RS19 yesterday, but as underlined several times by Cyril Abiteboul during the presentation conference, the car exhibited a few hours ago was only the old RS18 with the colors of the new livery.

The car for 2019, in fact, is still in a thousand pieces and will be put together shortly before leaving for Barcelona.

The same goes for Williams, given that Monday's ceremony only concerned the launch of the new livery and the main sponsor for the 2019 season, namely ROKiT. It should be noted that the English Scuderia had scheduled a filming day session for Saturday, but obviously, given the strong delay regarding the assembly phase, the chances of seeing the two official drivers in action are decreasing hour by hour. before the test session at Montmelò.

Here are the words of Cyril Abiteboul: “Our new car is still in pieces, but we will be able to assemble it for the Barcelona test. Unfortunately we are not the only team to be in this situation."
