F1 | Renault, Daniel Ricciardo positive: "Happy with today's work"

Positive day for Daniel Ricciardo, at least as regards the morning session: the Australian driver and his RS20 managed to impose themselves, positioning themselves in fifth position, the first behind the "four" Mercedes, the ones colored black and the two in pink. Behind him the two Ferraris, while teammate Esteban Ocon stopped in tenth position. Different situation in the afternoon due to the rain, which limited activity on the track: only one installation lap for the two Renaults, which therefore remained without a time in the second free practice session.

"The morning session went very well and I think we started off on the right foot. It reminded me a lot of the first free practice in Austria, when we went down the track and immediately found a good set-up. Just happy with how the weekend started, I feel good” declared Ricciardo. Furthermore, the car performed very well with both high and low fuel loads, promising well for the rest of the weekend, even if the weather conditions predict a wet track.

"The track was too wet in the afternoon, so we went easy on the intermediates, in order to save a set of wet tires for tomorrow. In any case, I am positive and happy with today's work".
