F1 | Renault, Carlos Ghosn resigns from the role of president and CEO

According to what was reported by the French finance minister, Bruno Le Maire, Carlos Ghosn has resigned from the role of president and CEO of the Renault group, effectively opening the hunt for the replacement who will take over the reins of the French brand. Ghosn, we recall, was arrested a few months on charges of having made false statements regarding the nature of his compensation.

A very hard blow for the group, given that the Frenchman was one of the most important managers of the entire corporate structure.

“Carlos Ghosn has just resigned and now it is time to define and implement a new governance”, Le Maire told Bloomberg Television. “The most important thing now is to think about the future of Renault and the entire alliance.”

It should be noted that the decision comes a few days after Thierry Kostas' resignation, Ghosn's right-hand man and the person who was supposed to take over the presidency of Renault Sport from January 3rd.
