F1 | Renault, Abiteboul: “Our goal is to score points in every race”

In an interview given to the microphones of the official Renault Sport website, Cyril Abiteboul spoke about the development of the RS17, the car presented yesterday in London with which Nico Hulkenberg and Jolyon Palmer will tackle the next Formula One world championship. The transalpine manufacturer has great confidence in the potential of the single-seater, the result of hours and hours of work at the Enstone and Viry Chatillion sites, and has explained that the real objective for 2017 is to achieve a points finish in every weekend of next championship.

Here are the words of Cyril Abiteboul: “We are perfectly configured to achieve the goal we all set ourselves in 2017. The RS17 is the result of hours and hours of work at our two sites, which constitute an integrated team. The result is a car we can be proud of. We have great quality collaborators at all levels of the team and we are delighted to see Nico and Sergey alongside Jolyon in 2017. We have been joined by a solid group of partners, with BP, Castrol, MAPFRE and SMP Racing, at the end of a stunning campaign winter of partner acquisition. We are the Formula 1 team with the strongest growth at all levels and we must now stand out on the track.
