F1 | Red Bull, VIPs on track in the first free practice sessions in Barcelona
The young Estonian driver will take Perez's place
Juri Vips will take to the track in the first free practice session valid for the Spanish Grand Prix, the sixth round of the 2022 Formula 1 world championship.
In Barcelona, Red Bull chose to skip the first of two youth sessions made mandatory by the FIA, giving the Estonian driver a great opportunity at the wheel of the highly competitive RB18. Vips will take the place of "Checo" Perez and return to the wheel of a Formula 1 car after the kilometers accumulated in Abu Dhabi in the two days of post-season testing.
An important opportunity that will serve the driver not only to familiarize himself with the team, ready to offer all the necessary support, but also to learn about the "complex" mechanisms that exist within a Formula 1 team. Appointment on Friday morning for the first hour of activity at the Circuit Montmelò.
