F1 | Red Bull, Verstappen fears Mercedes at Interlagos

Verstappen's victory in Mexico, the ninth of the season for the Red Bull driver, gave the Dutchman a further push towards the world title, now about to face the Sao Paulo Grand Prix in Brazil, the nineteenth round of this beautiful championship. Lately the Interlagos track has been favorable to Adrian Newey's creatures, just look at what happened in 2019 and 2018, at least until Ocon threw Max out trying to double himself.

“It was really nice to win in Mexico – said Verstappen. As a team it couldn't have been better, and it was great to have Checo there with me. I didn't expect qualifying to go that way, but I always knew the car would do well in the race. We had an advantage on the pace and I managed to manage it until the end. It's difficult to say how competitive we will be in Brazil: in 2019 we won but it was a tough battle and I expect something very similar this year too."

“Let's also see the weather forecast, it will be decisive on performance. There's also the Sprint Race: this year I've always done well, but then in the race it didn't go as we hoped, let's try to turn things around. It would mean a lot for the team to win at Interlagos, obviously we are working to achieve the goal in both championships and Checo is doing great. For now we're tackling everything step by step, we just have to keep pushing."
