Max satisfied, but preaches calmly: "There is still a long way to go before we can fight for victory"

F1 | Red Bull, Verstappen will start on the front row next to Leclerc

Max Verstappen will start from the front row tomorrow in the Austrian Grand Prix, given the penalty given to Lewis Hamilton. The Dutchman had ranked third, but will start alongside Leclerc after the Englishman's sanction. The #33 is extracting the most from his RB15, perhaps even more than necessary given Gasly's continued less-than-exciting performances, and tomorrow he will also be able to fight for the victory, in what could be a sensational start.

“I'm really happy with the result of qualifying – Max said. Throughout the weekend the car was competitive, and also on the engine side we worked very well with Honda to have more power. We were really fast in the corners, and being close to pole is a big step forward. As soon as I turned off the car I heard the crowd: there are many Dutch and Austrian fans who gave me so much energy and motivation! I didn't do the long run yesterday but normally we go better in the race than in qualifying. There is a long way to go before we can fight for victory, but this is a good start for the team ahead of tomorrow."
