Interviewed by Ziggo Sport about expectations for 2019, Max Verstappen said he was very optimistic in terms of performance, underlining how the entire team will have the opportunity to make a big leap forward, especially in terms of power.

According to what the Dutchman reported, in fact, Honda is carrying out excellent development work on the unit for next season and this should help the Austrian team to get closer to the performance of Mercedes and Ferrari.

Here are the words of Max Verstappen: “Helmut Marko is always optimistic and this is very nice to see. As for next season, however, I think we have to wait and see what kind of performances we will have in the first part of the season. I imagine we will make a good step forward, especially in terms of power and engine, but we will only have a clear idea in Australia."
