F1 | Red Bull, Verstappen: “We can compete with Ferrari”

Happy Friday for Max Verstappen. The Dutch driver is satisfied with these first two free practice sessions at Le Castellet, given that his times are at Ferrari's level, at least if we look at the race pace, given that he had problems completing a clean lap in the qualifying simulation . The podium objective is therefore within reach for Max, also considering the difficulties shown by the Red team today.

“We still have work to do, but we seem competitive, we can compete with Ferrari – said Verstappen. Mercedes is still fast, but we will look at the data to see what we can improve for tomorrow. The tires are not easy to predict and it looks like the Softs aren't much faster than the Mediums, which will make it quite interesting ahead of qualifying. All in all it wasn't a bad day and we were able to make a lot of changes, especially this morning, to fine-tune our set-up for the weekend."
