According to what the Dutchman declared to the newspaper De Telegraaf, in fact, Mercedes and Ferrari can count on a slightly more competitive technical and aerodynamic package compared to that of the Austrian team, an aspect that will almost certainly force the two drivers not to start with all the favors of the prediction.

Honda, we remember, has fitted a brand new power unit to all its riders to guarantee good performances at Suzuka, so as to score a coup that would be extremely important for the continuation of this season and in the planning for 2020.

“The Grand Prix in Russia was quite boring, while I don't know about Japan,” said Max Verstappen at the end of yesterday's race. “We must not create false hopes and honestly I don't expect a magical weekend, given that we are behind Ferrari and Mercedes.”
