F1 | Red Bull, Ricciardo happy for France's return: "I can't wait to get on track"

In the classic preview published by Red Bull on its website, Daniel Ricciardo spoke about the next French Grand Prix, the eighth round of the 2018 Formula One world championship, underlining how the race at Ricard is a welcome return for all fans.

France, we remember, has been missing from the calendar since 2008, when the Circus ran on the beautiful Nevers Magny-Cours facility.

From that season onwards, above all for economic reasons, the Transalpine state was no longer able to secure its own appointment in the calendar, leaving a space of considerable historical value empty. With Renault's return, however, things have finally changed and France has once again managed to sit at the negotiating table, bringing Ricard back to the glories of the past and cunningly snatching an economically advantageous agreement.

Here are the words of Daniel Ricciardo: “I raced at Paul Ricard, but we're talking about many years ago. I don't know what configuration we will use for Sunday's Grand Prix. It's nice to have a French GP on the calendar. We are talking about an event rich in history which has certainly disappeared in recent years. Fingers crossed that it's not just a good race for the French, but a welcome return for all fans around the world. I can't wait to get on track and discover the circuit."
