F1 | Red Bull, Perez on the victory in Singapore: “The best race of my life”

Sergio Perez achieved the second victory of his season in Singapore after that of Monaco, and the fourth of his career. A majestic performance from the Red Bull driver, called to win given the difficulties Max Verstappen had throughout the weekend. Great start, in which he burned Leclerc, and then impeccable management of the whole situation, never giving Ferrari's Monegasque the chance to really try. The only flaw was the investigation which ultimately led to a five second penalty, but beyond this his victory was more than deserved.

“It was certainly the best performance of my Formula 1 career – Perez said. I managed everything as best as I could, even if warming up the tires was really very complicated. The last laps were very intense. I have to be honest, I didn't notice it in the car at the end of the physical effort, it all hit me all at once when I got out of the car. I pushed hard and gave everything to win. Among other things, I had no idea why I was under investigation, the team just told me to push and increase the gap with Leclerc as much as possible and that's what I did."
