F1 | Red Bull, Marko: “We will have a big update in Canada”

24.03.2017 - Free Practice 2, Helmut Marko (AUT), Red Bull Racing, Red Bull Advisor

A slow start but with excellent prospects for the future. Red Bull understood that it was behind its rivals but decided to continue developing to be ready for victory in the late part of the season.

Revealing the team's long-term plans was Helmut Marko: “The basic concept of the car is right – he told the daily Salzburger Nachrichten – we know which direction to turn to develop the chassis”.

In the next races there will be some small adjustments, but the most important changes will come in the Montreal race in Canada: “There shouldn't be any notable developments on the chassis in the near future – admitted Marko – but a big update from Renault should arrive in Canada, where we will be lighter and will be able to drive with more power for a longer time”.

Hence the objectives for the subsequent challenges: "All this makes us optimistic about the fact that we could be in front in the Austrian GP."
