The Sunday held in Monte Carlo was a Sunday worth remembering for Red Bull who, taking advantage of the missteps of Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton, managed to take the lead in both the Drivers' World Championship with Max Verstappen and the Constructors' Championship.
Discussing yesterday's race, Helmut Marko admitted how the Stella team (and it's not the first time this has happened) tends to suffer pressure when certain situations don't go according to plan. Such as the retirement that Valtteri Bottas was forced into due to a problem with a tire nut during the pit stop.
"Max has reached a different level of maturity – declared Marko, interviewed by Servus TV – We were also surprised that Hamilton stayed behind Gasly more or less without putting up a fight. When there is pressure, Mercedes makes mistakes. With this win, Max should have more confidence in his performances".
