F1 | Red Bull, Marko comments on the choice to present the RB15 on February 13: "No disrespect to Mercedes"

Speaking to Auto Bild, Helmut Marko commented on Red Bull's choice to present the new RB15 on the same day as the Mercedes W10, underlining how the choice was not made to disrespect its direct competitors for the title.

According to what was reported by the Austrian manager, in fact, the Milton Keynes team suffered a delay of a couple of days in the construction of the car, an aspect which led Christian Horner and Dietrisch Mateschitz to postpone the debut of the single-seater on the track.

As regards the shakedown at Silverstone, however, Marko underlined how Red Bull will test the RB15 on a different part of the track, which is why there will be no problem regarding a possible crossover between the two single-seaters.

“The choice derives from a small delay resulting from the assembly of the car. We realized that we could get on track a couple of days later than expected and this led us to present on that date", said Helmut Marko. “As for the shekedown, however, we will be driving on different parts of the track, so it shouldn't be a problem.”
