F1 | Red Bull, Horner on the next market: “We are not short of options”
"Our priority however is to keep Ricciardo and Verstappen"
If this driver market has not caused the displacement of any big names, in the next year the music could change: given the current situation, in fact, at the end of 2018 the contracts of all top drives will expirer, except for Sebastian Vettel, which he recently renewed with Ferrari until 2020.
Unfortunately for Red Bull, Daniel Ricciardo e Max Verstappen, from a 2019 perspective, are two of the main objects of desire: in this regard, Chris horner, team principal of the Austrian team, threw water on the fire, reiterating his firm desire to continue with the current line-up. “Both our drivers are currently under contract for at least next year” – said Horner. “It's right for us to build a good car and be competitive”. However, Horner said he has options ready in case of goodbye of Ricciardo or Verstappen: "Of course, we're not short of options, but our priority is absolutely to keep the two riders we have at the moment".
