F1 | Red Bull, Horner realistic: “We are experiencing a Mercedes championship”

Despite the performances shown by the W10 and the five consecutive doubles achieved in the first six rounds of the world championship, Christian Horner believes that Mercedes will not be able to dominate all twenty-one rounds of this championship, highlighting how the opponents, thanks to the development promoted in the last few weeks, they will be able to come close to the frightening performances of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas.

At the same time, however, Horner highlighted how this world championship is already in the hands of Mercedes, given the large gap opened up in terms of points from the Australian GP to today.

“I highly doubt they will be able to win all the races, but never say never,” declared Christian Horner at the end of the last Monaco Grand Prix. “The only certain thing is that we are experiencing a Mercedes championship, given that they are approaching the maximum peak of performance.”
