F1 | Red Bull, Gasly: ​​“I have a lot to learn from Max, but I feel competitive”

The other side of the Red Bull coin is called Pierre Gasly, once again lapped and only seventh at the finish line. In the first part of the race, the Frenchman had great difficulty passing Raikkonen, and after the stop he destroyed his tyres, thus maintaining a less than exceptional pace. The young driver is aware that he is not in a positive moment, and he knows that there is work to be done.

“It was a difficult day – Gasly admitted. In the first stint I had a good pace on the Softs, but I was blocked by the cars in front. With the Hard tyres, I pushed too much at the start and destroyed the tyre, complete with blistering, so I didn't have the chance to bother Lando. The new updates are working, as seen with Max: he did a fantastic job. Coming back to me, I'm not happy with my performance, I could have managed the race much better, but I consider myself a very competitive guy, there's work to do. I haven't found exactly what I want from the car, but it's good to see that it's working and I think we're on the right direction for the future. I have a lot to learn from Max, I have to work."
