F1 | Red Bull, Christian Horner celebrates his fourth consecutive victory

Christian Horner can certainly celebrate, pocketing his fourth consecutive victory of the season. This hasn't happened since 2013, when Vettel achieved nine consecutive victories. It is also the first time, in the turbo hybrid era, that a team other than Mercedes has succeeded in the feat, a sign that something is really starting to change in the world balance. Max Verstappen leaves no fighting chance, and masterfully takes victory in a solitary and risk-free race. Hamilton can do nothing against Red Bull's supremacy on his home circuit. Unlucky race for Perez, however, who with a small error at the pit stop - slightly long - was forced to give up the podium to Bottas. The Mexican continues his hunt for third place until the checkered flag, but it wasn't enough.

"What a great day, we won at our circuit, with what is our fourth consecutive victory and the tenth with Honda, a great result – the team principal said first – qMax was a surgical leader, handling the leadership so well. I think this is our best weekend of the season and for the first time Max managed to open a significant gap on Lewis, putting due distance between them.

"A great shame for Checo, however, who deserved the podium, but those few seconds lost at the pit stop made him fall behind Bottas – continues Horner – we took a risk, opting for a two-stop strategy and Checo was very good at chasing Valtteri until the end, but with one more lap he would have completed the mission. Motivation is sky high in Milton Keynes, the team is pushing themselves to the limit, especially given the difficulties everyone has been through during the pandemic. Let's now see where the hard work done on the chassis and Power Unit is taking us, and the great harmony that exists within the team and between our pair of drivers".
