F1 | Ralf Schumacher on Mick's growth: “He deserves a seat in Formula 1”

Mick Schumacher is ready to take the big step towards Formula 1. In an interview with Sky Sport DE, Ralf Schumacher spoke about the performances shown by the German with the Prema team in Formula 2, underlining how the possible conquest of the "cadet" title is the best possible calling card for Formula 1.

The FDA standard bearer, we remember, will make his debut this weekend at the Nurburgring with the team colors Alfa Romeo Racing, while a permanent commitment with Haas or with the same Italian-Swiss team for 2021 is highly probable.

“Mick has taken an excellent path which, I am sure, will take him to Formula 1”, said Ralf Schumacher. “From the beginning, I have always told him that the important thing is to try to stay in the top three positions. Now he has even managed to win races and is leading the championship, constantly proving himself to be one of the fastest in the category."

“The progress made compared to last year is extraordinary and certainly encouraging,” he added. “Furthermore, Mick showed great class behind the wheel, proving himself to be one of the greatest talents of his generation. I don't see why he shouldn't race in Formula 1 starting next season."
