F1 | Racing Point, third row for Stroll at Silverstone: “Positive to start with the mediums”

Lance Stroll is not totally satisfied with his qualifying at Silverstone. The Racing Point driver had yet another opportunity to conquer the second row in his hands, but he had to settle for sixth position on the starting grid. The positive note is certainly that of having the medium tires available in the first stint, adapting to the choice of the drivers in front of you.

“The positive thing about today is that tomorrow we will start from sixth position with the strategy studied, that of starting with the mediums, which should help us to fight with the nearby cars – said Stroll. We can win a good number of points, that's our goal. We seemed stronger yesterday, so we need to understand how to get back to that level tomorrow. It was difficult to find the optimal balance of the car, and this was especially evident in the first sector, where we lost most of the time. The temperature and wind conditions were different today, quite changeable, so it was an added challenge. Overall I'm happy, tomorrow will be another day. I am confident, tonight we will be able to take further steps forward and be fit for our home race."
