F1 | Racing Point: The 2019 season kicks off on February 13 in Canada

The 2019 season for Racing Point, previously known as Force India, will begin on February 13, 2019, when the English team will organize a dedicated event at the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto, Canada.

This was communicated by Racing Point itself, which on its social channels confirmed the event for next February, although it did not indicate whether the single-seater for 2019 will also be presented or whether it will only be revealed in the Barcelona pit lane shortly before of winter tests, as happened this year.

It will be the first step of a team which, although it will remain similar in structure and staff to the one that hit the slopes in 2018, will have to be a new beginning: last summer, in fact, after the problems encountered by the previous management of the team, Force India was purchased by Lawrence Stroll, wealthy entrepreneur and father of Lance Stroll. The new management's plans are ambitious, ranging from increasing the staff and improving the structures, with the aim of competing with the top teams for the top 3 within a few years.

Alongside the confirmed Sergio Perez, now in his sixth consecutive season with the team, will be Lance Stroll, a young driver in his third year in Formula 1 after the two spent in Williams: for the Canadian it will be an important championship, in which he will be able to compete with a a companion of undoubted talent and with a car capable of constantly fighting for the points zone.
