F1 | Racing Point, Hulkenberg satisfied: “I have much more confidence in the car”

For Nico Hulkenberg, Silverstone will be the second opportunity to compete after months of inactivity. Officially retiring before the start last week due to a problem with his Racing Point, the German today seemed fitter and more confident with the car, while seven days ago he had encountered obvious difficulties both from a physical point of view and in adapting to the the RP20.

“I feel much more confident in the car – Hulkenberg said. I know the way the team works much better: today I was able to get into the rhythm much faster than last week, and this is a big advantage. I'm happy because we were able to try some things with the car set-up, and this helped me adapt better. We also completed today's program, and this is a great start to the rest of the weekend. I tried to find the right pace in the single lap with the medium tyre, I made some mistakes in the final part but all in all it was a positive Friday."
