F1: Pirelli completes the choice of tires for the 1 Formula 2014

Pirelli announces the choice of tires for the last three Grands Prix of the year: United States, Brazil and Abu Dhabi.

For the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, where the race will take place on November 2, the P Zero White medium and the P Zero Yellow soft were chosen. This is the most frequent tire pairing this year: a perfect choice for a circuit like Austin, characterized by a combination of fast corners and slower, more technical ones.

For Brazil (9 November) the choice fell on the two hardest compounds: P Zero Orange hard and P Zero White medium. Interlagos is the shortest circuit of the season, but it places a high level of energy on the tires due to its anti-clockwise layout, with a continuous series of corners and highly abrasive asphalt.

Abu Dhabi (November 23) represents, however, one of the least harsh tracks of the year for the tyres. Yas Marina is a circuit that Pirelli knows well, thanks to the tests carried out before the start of its new adventure in Formula 1 in 2011. As per tradition, the race will take place in the evening, with ambient and asphalt temperatures in decline during the GP. The choice could therefore only fall on the P Zero Yellow soft and the P Zero Red supersoft, which will enhance the different possible strategies.
