F1 | Norris ready to return to England after finishing quarantine
The Englishman must undergo a new swab test that gives a negative result to leave for the United Kingdom
Lando Norris is ready to return home, after completing the quarantine period in Dubai on Monday as reported by the official Formula 1 website following confirmation from McLaren. The Englishman, standard bearer for Woking, tested positive for Covid-5 on January 19th while he was spending a holiday period carrying out scheduled training sessions in the Emirates.
Now Norris, before returning to England, must carry out a swab test which gives a negative result. In this case he will be able to fly to the UK according to local government guidelines. Once he returns to base, he will have to isolate himself in his home which is located near the McLaren factory. Where he will only go if necessary, reducing meetings with the team to a minimum.
Norris was the first Formula One driver to contract Coronavirus in 2021, which was followed by Charles Leclerc testing positive. Last season, however, Covid-19 affected Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll and Lewis Hamilton.
