F1 | Mol "embraces" Brundle's theory: "We need to start again from Silverstone"

In a chat given to the newspaper Ziggo Sport, Olav Mol spoke about the world calendar which Liberty Medium will launch in the second part of this season, underlining how the Circus should evaluate a departure directly from Silverstone, home of the British Grand Prix.

According to the Dutch commentator, most of the teams are located near the English track, which would help significantly with logistics and the transfer of personnel.

“Secretly we hope to have at least 15 races,” said Olav Mol. “In this situation of total stop I would say that at least it is an ambitious objective. Furthermore, we can start trying to plan an action plan, so as to push the teams to organize their work".

“On Friday evening I invited an email to Liberty Medium" he added. “I largely agree with Martin Brundle and I think we should start the season at Silverstone. Most of the teams are already there and the logistics would have a great advantage. Subsequently we could go to Holland and continue with Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Hungary and Austria. The rules say you have to have at least eight races for a championship."

“This way you extend the calendar as much as possible without having to travel around the world at an early stage,” he concluded.
