Mick Schumacher commented with satisfaction on the performance shown by his Haas during the first day of free practice valid for the Russian Grand Prix, the 15th round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. The German, fast and constant from the first laps in the morning, he managed to create an excellent feeling with the track despite the lack of grip on the track, an aspect that gives the team hope in view of tomorrow's sessions (weather permitting).

“Overall I felt quite comfortable inside the car,” said the Haas German. “There haven't been many sessions on this track in recent months, which is why we found the asphalt to be quite green, with little grip. I believe that as a team we did many good things on the single-seater, managing to be competitive right from the first laps. Unfortunately I wasn't able to complete my lap on the soft tires in FP2, but we know what kind of pace we can keep. Tomorrow I want to put everything together."
