F1 | Mick Schumacher positive: “Q2 is a realistic goal”

Interviewed by the German press at the end of the last Spanish Grand Prix, the fourth round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship, Mick Schumacher fully promoted the work that Haas is carrying out on the VF-21, highlighting how the package has all the cards in order to gain access to Q2.

According to the standard bearer of the Ferrari Driver Academy, despite the characteristics of the Barcelona circuit, which are not very congenial to the car, the gap from Raikkonen's car in Q1 was under two tenths, an aspect which must motivate the team to give its best during the first world rounds, perhaps starting from the Monaco GP.

“Q2 is a totally realistic goal and I would hate not to make it this year,” said the Haas German. “We are pushing hard with the car and more favorable tracks for our characteristics will arrive. Considering that Spain is perhaps not one of our most congenial tracks, I think we still managed to set a good lap in qualifying. We were close to Kimi and therefore the move to the second session. We can be happy and confident. Let's hope we can do it."
