F1 | Mercedes, Wolff on Verstappen: “We must first evaluate our line-up”

Toto Wolff intends to discuss with Valtteri Bottas and Esteban Ocon before starting any talks with Max Verstappen regarding 2020.

In an interview given during the last world round at the Red Bull Ring, in fact, the Austrian did not exclude the Dutchman's profile regarding the next championship, specifying however that the discussion, if it ever happens, will be addressed only after having analyzed the position of the drivers currently in the line-up.

Everything, obviously, refers to Valtteri Bottas, George Russell and Esteban Ocon, Mercedes ponies looking for confirmation (or a possibility. ed.) as far as 2020 is concerned.

“I haven't spoken to Max [Verstappen.ed],” said Toto Wolff during the last Austrian Grand Prix in Spielberg. “I would like to do it as we have done in the past, but first we need to evaluate our current line-up and talk to them. Only then can we have a correct discussion with someone external."
