F1 | Mercedes, Wolff: “We didn't understand some features of the car”

It was a seemingly very positive weekend for Max Verstappen and Red Bull in Bahrain. The Dutch driver and the Austrian car seem to be the favorites for the Grand Prix which will also take place in Sakhir in less than two weeks. Clearly, and we would like to underline this once again, the tests always leave the time they find, but the problems experienced at Mercedes were evident to everyone, so there seems to be a bit of concern in the Anglo/German team, even if we are used to to superficial declarations which are then promptly denied with the results on the track.

“Your Red Bull driver was much faster than ours during testing – Wolff told the Dutch of Ziggo Sport. We had several problems, including understanding some features of the car. Hopefully we can do something in the two weeks before qualifying. Skipping the shakedown wasn't decisive, we're not mirroring ourselves: there's a reason why there aren't many teams capable of winning consecutive World Cups: it's not easy to give energy and motivation at all times."
