F1 | Mercedes, Wolff locks down Hamilton and Bottas for 2019: "There is no reason to change"

The official announcement continues to slip, but from Mercedes new reassurances arrive regarding the future of Lewis Hamilton e Valtteri Bottas. Both expiring at the end of 2018, the British champion and the Finn will most likely be reconfirmed for next season too: “Everything will be resolved very, very soon” – declared the executive director of the German team, Toto wolff, Sky Sports F1. “We don't want to drag this out much longer, so I expect it to be resolved very, very soon.”.

If Hamilton's renewal was practically taken for granted, even if the scenario of a sensational retirement was not to be discarded, the same cannot be said for Bottas, who convinced the Stuttgart leaders with a solid start to the championship: “Valtteri is doing an exceptional job” – continued Wolff. "At the moment there is no reason to change our line-up".
