F1 | Verstappen warns: “Mercedes has not shown its full potential”

Max Verstappen continue to believe that Mercedes will present itself at the starting line of the next 2021 world championship formula 1 with all the odds. Despite the difficulties shown in Bahrain by Lewis Hamilton e Valtteri Bottas, especially in terms of long-distance pace, the Dutchman does not intend to take the supremacy of the Red Bull on the world champion team, an aspect that will push him to give 100% of his performances starting from the Grand Prix scheduled this weekend on the track of Sakhir.

"Mercedes carried out the first qualifying simulation attempt with less power", said the Dutchman. “They did two easy laps followed by a faster one. In this last lap they gained about half a second on the power unit alone. They are really fast and from my point of view they are trying to pass us the role of favourites. They did it a couple of times already last year, but personally I don't see myself as the number 1 candidate for the title. There Mercedes remains the point of reference and I still see them in front Bahrain".
