F1 | Mercedes awarded as best team of the year

La Mercedes was awarded best team of the year at the prestigious Laureus Awards, whose official gala is held today in Monte Carlo. The team of Brackley thus obtaining his first recognition after being nominated for the 2015 season, just a year after winning his first Formula 1 world championship.

It was not easy for the silver arrows to win the Laureus, considering their rivals: Real Madrid – winner of the UEFA Champions League and the Club World Cup, the Golden State Warriors – champions of the NBA, Emirates Team New Zealand – winner of the America's Cup sailing, the Davis Cup team in France and the New England Patriots – the winners of the 51st edition of the Superbowl in 2017.

Along with the official announcement, which confirmed the victory of Mercedes - busy with the Formula 1 winter tests in Barcelona - there was also a message from Lewis Hamilton: the four-time world champion underlined the importance of teamwork, which is fundamental in F1 to achieve great successes and go down in history, just like the silver arrows team is doing in recent years. In fact, in the video message, the Englishman explained how having good group cohesion is essential to winning.
