F1 | Mercedes, Lauda: “The blame for the accident lies solely with Vettel”

Niki Lauda expressed his opinion on the accident in Singapore, underlining how the fault of the contact lies exclusively with Sebastian Vettel. The Austrian pointed the finger at the German's defensive maneuver, explaining how a risk of that kind, in an important moment of the season like this, was completely useless and crazy. Lauda concluded his speech by making a comparison with the Ferrari of his time, revealing that such a maneuver with "Drake" in command would not have gone unnoticed.

Here are the words of Niki Lauda: “The accident was clearly Seb's fault. The images are clear enough and I don't think there is any reason to even bother explaining why. I don't understand the point of risking so much at a decisive moment of the season, especially when you're on pole. If it had happened in my time, we probably wouldn't have even returned to Maranello."
