F1 | Mercedes, Hamilton: “We are writing history”

Sixth victory for Lewis Hamilton out of eight races held so far. The five-time world champion once again beat his teammate, Valtteri Bottas, by a full 18 seconds. Such a competitive Lewis Hamilton had perhaps never been seen before:

“It was a really great weekend. I've felt this feeling many times but it's something that never gets old. It's a constant challenge when you're out there on the track, trying to find the limit and a better connection with the car. I will never be able to thank my boys and those who are in the factory, we are creating pages of stories together. I'm proud to be part of this team, Valtteri also did an excellent job this weekend."

Hamilton added that it was not an easy victory for him, despite dominating from start to finish:

“It was a beautiful day, it's very hot, there are many bumps and it's not easy to drive on this track because there are many technical sectors, in which however you can gain a good advantage over the others. It wasn't an easy race, everything is always at the limit when you're racing, reliability is a fundamental factor. I want to enjoy this start of the season."
