F1 | Mercedes, Hamilton: “I'm grateful for Vettel's weaknesses”

Lewis Hamilton go back to talking about Sebastian Vettel: the Mercedes driver, leader of the World Championship with 28 points ahead of the German, "thanked" his rival for the gift of Singapore. “It was good to see some of his weaknesses and I'm grateful for that” – declared Hamilton in reference to the accident at the start of the Marina Bay race. The Englishman, in fact, started from fifth position and, after two corners, found himself in the lead of the race, which he then led and won admirably.

After the small blow, Hamilton recognized the value of Vettel, who he himself considered one of the best in history: “I think it's important to respect the people you're competing against. Sebastian is an incredible athlete, truly one of the best drivers we have seen in this sport”.
