Lewis Hamilton supremacy at Silverstone. In fact, the Englishman once again laid down the law on his home track, obtaining another great pole position today: the 91st of his career, the eighth in a row for Mercedes in the British GP.

The world champion, analyzing the official tests on Saturday, declared: “We made some changes to the car in qualifying and the situation got worse, it was a real fight in the first two heats. I had to take some deep breaths, recover mentally too, knowing that Valtteri was doing fast laps one after the other. Q3 started well, the first lap was good and clean, but the second was better".

Hamilton, completing his analysis, then added: “A big thank you to all the team members, who work on the track and in the factories not far from here: their work is tireless and they continue to push us forward. I'm really proud to be part of it. Tomorrow it will be strange to race without fans, we will definitely miss them and it's a completely different energy. I know they will be watching from home and supporting us, so hopefully we can give them a good show".
