A possible three-year agreement is being discussed
Lewis Hamilton could renew his contract with Mercedes for another three seasons. According to what "Auto Bild" reports, the Stuttgart team has started contacts with the Englishman for the extension of the current agreement, renewing its trust despite his 32 years of age. A three-year agreement, in fact, would bring Hamilton on the track until he is 35 years old. In Thursday's press conference, Lewis admitted that he wants to continue winning in Formula One beyond 2018 and also did not deny a possible move to Ferrari before his retirement (presumably set after the 2022 season. ed.).
Here are the English words: “I'm here to win and to confirm my commitment to the team. It's strange: staying in Formula One for so many years could lead to less passion, but in reality that's not the case. I want to continue winning beyond 2018."
