F1 | Mercedes, Hamilton: “The accident with Max prevented me from winning”

Lewis Hamilton had to settle for second place, finishing the Brazilian Grand Prix behind his teammate Russell. The English champion tried in every way, but that initial contact with Verstappen probably prevented him from chasing the first victory of his season. Lewis doesn't make any dramas, he is very happy for his compatriot and for the team, which has returned to victory after almost a year.

“I'm not angry, I feel great for the team – Hamilton admitted. I'm feeling a fantastic feeling, the team won and we worked towards this goal all year. I honestly feel nothing but happiness and satisfaction for everyone. The initial incident with Max doesn't matter to me at all: I'm very happy for this double, it's the only thing that matters. I'm also happy to have managed to recover after the accident, so it was a great day. Clearly I lost the race at that moment, it's natural."
