F1 | Mercedes, Hamilton incredulous: “Unexpected result”

An important victory that came in a weekend full of difficulties: Lewis Hamilton leaves Singapore with a haul of 28 points which allows him to look towards this season finale with optimism. The Englishman ran a careful race, fighting with Ricciardo and trying to get to the checkered flag. A success that was certainly deserved, but certainly conditioned by the big accident at the start.

Here are the words of Lewis Hamilton: “I want to congratulate my team as they did a great job. We struggled yesterday in qualifying and didn't know what would happen today. We were lucky with the start and I couldn't be happier with today's result. I capitalized on the advantage of the accident: who could ever expect something like this? Daniel fought until the end. I was expecting a fight with Vettel, but in the end it's fine like this. From tomorrow we will think about Malaysia."
