F1 | Mercedes, disappointment for Bottas: "Difficult day"

Disappointment for Valtteri Bottas, who was unable to complete the race at Interlagos due to an engine failure in his Mercedes which forced him to retire. The Finn's day wasn't going very well, given that he had to suddenly change strategy due to the malfunction of the Hard tyres, which were obviously unsuitable this time. The #77 wants to forget this Grand Prix as soon as possible and concentrate on the last round of the season in Abu Dhabi.

“Overall it was a difficult day, even before my retirement – ha Bottas admitted. Today the pace wasn't good, so we'll have to understand why. I was supposed to make just one stop and finish the race on the Hard, but I pitted again because we thought the tires wouldn't finish the race. Obviously it's not the best thing to change the strategy like that, but in the end it doesn't matter, since I didn't reach the finish line. I don't know what happened, I lost power suddenly, so we will have to look into what led to my retirement. It's disappointing, because a lot happened after that, so it would have been nice to be part of that chaos. I want to finish the season on top in Abu Dhabi."
