F1 | Mercedes, Bottas: “Too early to talk about renewal”

In an interview with Sky Sport F1 HD, Valtteri Bottas spoke about his future within Mercedes, explaining that a possible contract extension has not yet been discussed with Toto Wolff. Bottas, remember, signed for just one season and with the "shaky" renewals of Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso his position appears more unstable than ever. Despite this, however, Toto Wolff has repeatedly praised the work of the former Williams player, explaining that his stay at Brackley is absolutely not in doubt.

Here are the words of Valtteri Bottas: “Of course I hope to stay at Mercedes, but it's still too early to talk about these things. I want to live day by day, always trying to do my best, race after race. I am completely focused on the present. It all depends on what I do and if I manage to do well then my path here will be downhill. Lewis and I have a very professional relationship, we want to duel and beat each other, but working together and respecting each other."
