The Interlagos Sprint Race bears the signature of Valtteri Bottas. In fact, the Finn managed to prevail over Max Verstappen's Red Bull, getting the better of the Dutchman right from the start where he benefited from the advantageous compound. Having overtaken the RB16B number 33, the Mercedes standard-bearer led the race until the checkered flag and will start from pole position tomorrow.
"I think the start was the key today – declared Bottas – I started well, we risked a bit with the soft tyres. We knew we would benefit from them for the start and they worked. In the end I had to keep them until the end, and the last laps were quite complicated. But Max struggled to follow you in some corners, I'm happy that everything worked perfectly. Thanks to the fans for their support".
