F1 | Mercedes, Bottas: “As long as I have the chance I will fight for the title”
"I have to finish ahead of Vettel and Hamilton to keep my title hopes alive," underlined the Finn

Valtteri Bottas doesn't give up. Despite his recent unexciting appearances on the track, the Mercedes Finn does not intend to raise the white flag in the championship fight by continuing to fight as long as mathematics allows him.
Bottas is currently third in the World Championship, paying 51 points from teammate and championship leader Lewis Hamilton and 23 from Sebastian Vettel.
"I didn't come to Mercedes to finish third, I definitely want to fight for the title as long as there is the possibility to do so – Bottas underlined – I have to start finishing ahead of Seb and Lewis if I want to keep my title hopes alive. I want to do my best at the end of the season, finishing third is not my goal".
