F1 | McLaren, Seidl: “The objective is to replicate what was done in France”

After the good weekend at Le Castellet, McLaren wants to continue this positive trend at Zeltweg, a track that is absolutely different from the French one. The mood within the Woking team is very high, and these results demonstrate how something has really changed in the team in recent months.

“We head to the Alps to replicate the beautiful weekend in France – said Andreas Seidl, McLaren team principal. The team performed well last week, but as always we shouldn't get too excited ahead of the next match. Reliability remains an important objective and the points at stake can make the difference in the fight for the world championship. There is a very positive atmosphere within the team and among the fans, which motivates us to push harder and harder every weekend: the commitment and performance shown by the drivers encourages all the guys to return to the factory to give the best and provide Carlos and Lando with the best car possible. Austria is a unique track and is the first high-altitude circuit on the calendar: these characteristics represent a new set of challenges that we have not yet faced with the MCL34, however we are ready and can't wait to start the weekend."
