F1 | McLaren, Sainz and Norris confirmed for 2020

La McLaren will start again from the couple Carlos Sainz-Lando Norris also in the next season. In fact, in recent hours the Woking team, on the eve of the home round at Silverstone which will take place this weekend, has made official the stay of both drivers in Woking.

Both the Spaniard and the Briton were protagonists of a more than positive first part of the season, which has currently seen the English team score 52 points, occupying fourth place in the Constructors' World Championship.

"Today's announcement (yesterday, ed.) it gives the team a chance to continue pushing forward. The performances of Carlos and Lando have been a key part of the team's progress. Their feedback allowed our engineers to develop the MCL34 and look forward to the MCL35. Carlos has played a key role in developing the car using his expertise, while Lando has caught up to the demands of Formula 1 incredibly quickly and is growing in confidence every weekend. This is good news for the entire McLaren team and we look forward to continuing our collaboration together”, declared the team principal Andreas Seidl.
